DNA is a unique set of codes that can determine a person’s heritage, honour and disgrace, as well as success and failure. DNA testing is often backed by suspicions and a need for truth, but the truth often ends up as the trigger for conflicts, which often end in tragedy. 

The drama follows Qiu Jingwei, a renowned DNA forensics scientist and his stories involving his colleague, Juliana, and female investigator, Wind. Qiu Jingwei is defamed for standing up against his mentor in court, which is seen as an act of betrayal by the public, including Juliana. Wind and Juliana are bound by a secret relationship. Through the professional technology of DNA testing, the trio finds themselves working together to solve criminal cases. Each journey reveals stories that debunk the truth of human nature.
